My history teacher is giving me such a hard time. What should i do?
If you are young, take a parent. I would make an appointment to see the teacher, not in his/her room, if possible. Start with something like, "I am having trouble with your class. I hope it is not my fault because I really like history. Would you suggest what I should do?"
You might try talking to someone who is doing well. Ask what you are doing in class that is making the teacher angry with you? Maybe you could ask to sit next to a good student (from the teacher's perspective).
He might think you're capable of much better quality work than you've handed in, and you're feeling tense because you know you're under pressure to "perform" and get good marks.
All I can say is that you should look again at the question and make sure you've fully answered it to the best of your ability. Make sure your spelling is spot on, make sure your grammar is good and you've used all the right terms - there are "key words" to include aren't there? Have you included them?
Check the framework, make sure you've complied with it and if you're asked to reference sources make sure you've done that properly too.
What seems to be little mistake might cost you a lot more marks than you imagine.
Most of all, try reading it through as if somebody else has written it, see what you think of it then - be critical of your own work. It's a really hard thing to do, but it will help you in the future.
It might be a bit too much to take in right now, but you could look at the QCA site and see if there's anything there to help you, but don't be tempted to use any of the answer bank type of sites. The link I've given is to the QCA site, with further links to an "Exams doctor" which may be useful, I haven't checked it out.
Good luck.
