I lost my i-20 and i-94, what do i do?

  • I lost my I-20 when I was graduating college and moving into an apartment, and applying for a social security number.
It got lost among the chaos.
I'm talking to my student adviser, and she says to come see her so she can issue me a new one. Well now i find out my i-94 is missing as well. Thank God I still have my passport though.
Do I need my i-94 or any info on it to replace my i-20?

  • You will not need your I-94 to replace the I-20. However if you are concerned then feel free to file Form I-102 for a replacement I-94.

  • Well, all this information is in the various USCIS or CBP data bases in any case. However, if you're currently on OPT, you'll want the I-20 if you want to leave the US and return on your F visa.
