If one were to believe the break-room bulletins that extol the virtues of customer service...?

  • ... claiming that without good customer service, a company is doomed to failure, then why is it that Walmart is such a successful business?

  • Coming from a person who has worked for multiple customer service oriented businesses, this is a no-brainer question. The only reason people shop at Walmart is because of the low prices and sometimes because of convenience.

And, also like the person above me so wisely stated, they have supplies that you need. For most regular stores and service industries, customer service is the tops! Because if they don't treat you well, there is someone right down the street vying for your business!
Think about it, if your auto-mechanic was an ***, you'd go somewhere else, why give your hard-earned money to them? A lawyer? accountant? virtual office provider? consultant? etc etc.

  • because you need toilet paper, soap, pretzels, diapers, magazines, underwear, socks, deoderant, tampons... now if we're talking super walmart add bread, eggs, oranges, and soda. Duh!!!!!!
